Lovers of good music are about to have a good time as musical sensation, Isiaka Wasiu Ademola better known as Cledoo is about to release his first extensive playlist.
In an exclusive chat with Saturday Tribune Entertainment, the singer-host, while giving details about the EP, revealed the five-track EP’s release date.
“I have something great for my many fans; it’s a piece of me, which I will share on February 20th. I can’t wait to share this masterpiece with them. It’s a five track Extended Play, took me a while to put together, good production, great sound and inspiring lyrics, it’s strictly for people with a strong appetite for good songs,” he said.
The Ekiti State-based singer said he follows the trends; the EP contains songs of hope, celebration and lyrics of inspiration. He went further by highlighting why the PE is a must-have and why he pitched some of his colleagues, including his manager, on the project.
“First of all, the title of the Extended Play is ‘Breakfast’. You may want to ask or know why I gave it this title, as you know, ‘Breakfast’ is a popular trend on social media , while the EP boasts of uplifting and celebratory songs, I thought it was also important to keep social trends in view.
“I already recorded 3 tracks from the EP, before having a title. One day after recording the third track “For You” with Cyno, I noticed that I had a track that was composed and not still recorded, the track is titled “Breakfast” and because it’s trending on social media.
“I discussed the EP with my manager – Temiwhite and we ended up with the title, ‘Breakfast’ and also I feel there is nothing wrong, if my fans decide to listen to my EP early in the morning, which can also be used as a ‘Breakfast meal.’ So you see, it’s completely packaged for the enjoyment of my fans,” he boasts.
The Osun State-born singer hinted that he was already working on new songs for his fans, saying, “I pray this EP carries me insha Allah. I have already started working on two spectacular tracks which will be released in two weeks before I leave my school.
Cledoo is a 500 level student in Department of Animal Production and Health, Federal University Oye Ekiti, Ikole Campus. His plan is to take over the Nigerian music scene immediately after graduating from college.
